Tuition & Fees

Our fee of $14,900 includes course tuition, shared housing in a historic farmhouse, all food and meals, program activities, and outdoor gear rental.

If you choose to enroll in our college credit option, our school of record requires an additional fee of $1,950. This payment is made to Glen Brook and then is transferred to the Gap Year Association and the University of Montana.

Reminder: 529 Educational Account funds may be used for tuition and college credits IF you choose to enroll in at least one college credit course. Please confirm with your financial advisor.

You may need to spend additional funds on basic outdoor gear, such as hiking boots, a backpack, and warm layers. Please read our Packing List to learn what kind of gear Glen Brook can loan, and where you can find affordable options for gear you may need.

After You Apply

Review our Resources and Policies page thoroughly, and make sure you can agree to the Community Agreements, Essential Eligibility Requirements, and Terms and Conditions.

To be completed at one time, the application Includes:

  • Basic applicant and family contact information

  • Short, written responses

  • Reference names and contact information

  • Health and Accessibility considerations, if applicable

  • Estimated time to complete - 30 minutes

  1. We Contact you within 2 business days

  2. You complete an interview by zoom or in-person

  3. We contact references

  4. You receive a decision within 2 weeks of your interview.

Refund Policy

Once a participant is accepted to Gap at Glen Brook and has paid their acceptance deposit of $1,500, there is no refund of the deposit. If notice of cancellation is received within 45 days of the program start date the participant will forfeit the entire tuition. Any participant who leaves the program early will not receive a refund. If, for whatever reason, the Gap at Glen Brook program is canceled in its entirety, you will receive a full refund.
